Getting Started

As a completely outsourced service, the POS Data Service requires minimal setup. Retailers that currently generate POS data simply route their data to SPS Commerce. SPS works with retailers to create a POS feed if they are not currently generating POS data.

SPS converts retailers’ POS data into a Product Activity Report (EDI 852 document) or other format for use by suppliers. SPS works with suppliers to ensure they can receive the data in the format they desire. SPS then provides ongoing, free support for all vendors to address any questions concerning the distribution and quality of the 852 data.
